You can trigger avalanches on a few steep slopes. Avalanches are relatively harmless to people, but can knock you off balance. Can be dangerous close to terrain traps. (size 1)

Snøoverflaten er smelteomvandlet helt til topps i regionen. Mulig det finnes et og annet nysnøflak rundt de høyeste toppene etter at vinden dreide til mer nordlig onsdag kveld. Under 600 moh er mer eller mindre hele snødekket gjennomfuktet.

Det er lite snø i lavlandet i Lofoten, men noe mer i Vesterålen. Det er et snøskille øst for Svolvær, der det blir mer snø i fjellet.

Det er glidesprekker i mange bratte heng.

30 mm precipitation, up to 65 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as rain. Strong breeze from southwest, changing to fresh breeze from the north during the evening. -5 °C to 5 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

No precipitation. Breeze from north. -8 °C to 0 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Cloudy.

Oppholdsvær gjør at snødekket stabiliseres. Nysnøflakene fra onsdag vil fortsatt være mulig å løse ut i enkelte heng, da spesielt høyt til fjells.

Sannsynligheten for å løse ut skred i våt snø minker betraktelig når temperaturen faller.
